Decided upon lunch at this nifty outdoor spot in a bustling part of town on a Saturday around 12:30pm. While I know parking is usually a headache with the metered parking spots lining the businesses, I understand down the street and to the right there are many alternative parking spaces in the residential neighborhoods. The outdoor space was self seating; not quite first come first serve as patrons waiting for tables were taken to the next available table in the order they arrived. Our food came out incredibly quick with all necessary condiments and items including ketchup, silverware, and napkins. Each the falafel and the gyro were monstrously packed with flavor. A double edged sword at times as it almost felt a race against the clock to finish our meal (or at least transfer platewear) to avoid the juice and garnishes from seeping into the bread and making it soggy. The fries satiated the desire for greasy food without drawing a pool of oil. Overall, a really great spot for quick and flavor packed meals.

This place is always a bit busy. I waited patiently at their order window while many different employees made eye contact with me but didn't approach the window until about 7 minutes or so. The order and pick up window are next to each other and it was chaotic during my visit as there were many couriers waiting for their orders. Not to mention they were literally crowding right by the pick up window. When I was finally approached, I was ready to order and the associate asked if I were to dine in or take out. I mentioned I was there to dine to which he responded to go ahead and grab a table and they'll take my order at the table. This information was a bit frustrating as they have a sign at the entrance to their seating area that says after ordering wait here for a table. I asked the cashier what would be the fastest way to get food at this point and he mentioned to go. After partnering with the other associates that had seen me waiting he told me to grab a table and someone would be right out. I orders 2 sandwiches, a mint tea, and some fries. Fried Chicken Sandwich- 9/10 Flavor is great. Portion size is big. It is a bit hard to eat which can make it a bit messy. Brisket Sandwich- 10/10 Highly recommend. This was amazing! Again portion size is big and it can get a bit messy. Ice Mint Tea- 10/10 Very refreshing Fries- 6/10 Regular fries nothing special. They were crispy but I would skip on these next time. Overall food was great. I think there needs some kind of organization with where the food delivery services pick up. There were so many men waiting on a food order to deliver that they occupied the whole window counter. The chaos at the window made it very difficult to order.

I love Dune the movie and this Mediterranean spot located in the Atwater Village area. Their fried chicken blew my mind away! Glendale Avenue has many restaurants and small niche stores, but Dune caught my eye based on the fantastic reviews. They have a window to order food, with plenty of outdoor seating and trash cans. The cashier was very helpful in answering questions about my order. I was hesitant because I was wasn't too hungry, but I ordered the Hummus & Fried Chicken Plate. The chicken didn't have too much batter or oil. It wasn't too heavy on my stomach, and I enjoyed it so much. I ordered the sauces on the side, but the spicy Tahini sauce was excellent. The meal came with house flatbread, which was very filling, pickled turnips/radishes, marinated cabbage & onions, greens, and dill rice. The portions were huge, and the service was excellent; you can't get much better than that. The hummus was buried deep in the food, but I wish they had put more rice on the plate. I paired my meal with their Hibiscus Lemonade, which was as sweet and sour as it should be! I'm 100% coming back if I'm in the area.

I ordered their Falafel plate via DoorDash one night and absolutely became obsessed with their mint tea. The falafel plate was also delicious so I decided I had to check this place out in person. I was really curious to try their pickled beet sandwich as I also get a pickled beet and hard boiled egg sandwich at Cookbook in my neighborhood. The sandwich was beautifully delicious. I'm not someone who gravitates towards beets unless they are in a juice but these picked beet and egg combinations are killer. I will definitely be back for this sandwich.
